REVIEW: Slimy Little Bastards
‘SLIMY LITTLE BASTARDS’ Review by- “Scratchy” Pete Ellott.
“…Just great fun…”
Directed by friend and fellow (video) reviewer Dave Parker in 2015 comes his debut 65 minute entry that promised to be “a bit of a laugh mixed in with the corny” but proved to be a lot more than that.
Sometimes difficult to review a movie for a friend, but with this one, there was no issue. It was “just great fun.”
Displaying his collection.
A basement of rarities.
Having just moved in – already being “sought out.”
On a quest.
“Are you asking or do you really want to know?’
And the wrap around story gets into specifics.
Three slime filled jars.
Three very different stories.
…Those little bastards…
A tale of organic shit.
Drained…
Life.
Transformed.
A spatula your weapon of choice.
Biting the hand that feeds.
More than a loving spoonful…
Discarded.
Whereas Brain Busters…
Should not be shaken.
Housebound guilt and depression.
Drop some meds and remember…
“I am a good person.”
“Psycho Plasmic Projection”…
A deadly dose.
Caged hallucination set free.
Each trip proves a killer.
Close at hand…
And anything but…
Good.
As the Crusties invade.
Your bowel.
Dumped.
Toilet stop is far from a welcome relief.
Turning toxic.
Aromatherapy….
Hallucinations and a new definition…
Of hurt.
And loss.
Game over.

“Strange is all around me”…
Come join the fun.
Cheesy with a good dose of serious. Peeling flesh and slime with corny critters that prove endearing.
The music score really helps and adds to the feel of the various scenes. Creating tension in places, frivolity and silliness in others. Effective.
There are some great twists along the way as well, that help keep things interesting.
It was great to see so many of my friends helping out with this one – camera work and acting etc.
Keith Voigt Jr. loved your gait and demeanour. Jeremy Ryan as the “gaunt guy”…great stuff. But then the majority of acting was above par for this one. I mean that sincerely. Good job.
A welcome relief from the “normal.” Some great homage to days gone by as well.
The first two “bastards” were my favourites – the last one perhaps a little stretched, but that all comes down to personal taste. Certainly the whole package was well worth the watch.
Wasn’t sure what I was going to get but certainly pleased I opened the jar…
