REVIEW: Nutsack Pt:1-Lucifer’s Cosmonauts
Review by- “Scratchy” Pete Ellott.
2016 sees another short film release from one of my favourite visionary friend’s and Director – James Bell. Always an interesting watch because you never quite know where James is going to take us…
This time it’s an invasion from hell.

Different yet familiar. Those who have watched previous instalments from James will see common threads emerge…Satan, drugs, weird and wonderful…and don’t forget great “homemade” gore.
His talent continues to grow.
And evolve.
They come…
In dreams.
They come.
In reality.
Of a corrupted and troubled mind.
Bloody hallucinations.
God is dead but alien devil spawn…
Is very much alive…
And feeding.
Humanity is God’s perfect asshole.
Like splattered remnants on a wall.
All that is open is well and truly closed.
A celebration of opposites is the Devil’s work.

Leaving a trail of destruction in their wake,
Faceless yet not a foe.
“Shoot up or shut up.”
Shocks. Penetrated.
Orgasmic thrusts of decay.
Forever following the (un) holy grail…
You?
Giving life in death.
Prophesised.
All shall fall.
This one is blurred and rough round the edges at times. I saw this more so here than I have with Dog Dick or Tantrum. James’s wife Mae seems very natural in front of the camera. I enjoy her presence. Some of the acting from other participants seems somewhat forced at times yet not out of place by any means.

Far more predictable than previous efforts yet still with that fantastic “wtf” element that continues to free-flow from James’s mind onto film in its own very unique way.
You can’t help but admire “different”…and with no fundraiser in sight.
Yeah…
Unique.

Star of one of our most popular TV soaps, Emmerdale, Dominic Brunt is known in every household here in the UK. On top of this, he's also forging quite a reputation as one of the best indie horror filmmakers in Britain - his directorial debut feature, Before Dawn, was very well received upon its release in 2013 and more recently his second feature, Bait, has accumulated plenty of critical acclaim worldwide.
