CHECK OUT SRS Cinema’s brilliant HOUSE SHARK Indiegogo campaign!
SRS Cinema unleashed a teaser trailer this week for their current production of House Shark, and now they’ve followed it up with an inventive, humour-filled Indiegogo campaign to aid in getting the movie financed.
If you’re a Jaws fan - and who isn’t?!! - the tongue-in-cheek perks alone make it a must-read. Perks are named after either breeds of sharks, or characters from that blockbuster film, while the descriptions give new slants on many of the movie’s all too memorable quotes. There’s also a brief fundraiser specific video with inside info on the movie’s writer/director, Ron Bonk, his past productions like She Kills (which is pre-selling as part of the campaign), and of course details on House Shark – which includes bonus glimpses at the scenes already shot and some quick FIRST EVER glances at the concept art for the House Shark itself.

As a bonus, there’s 60+ more links in the gallery to past movie trailers and videos from Ron Bonk’s long career in the underground, as well as behind the scenes pictures and promotional stills from many of his past productions. SRS also promises video updates each week during the campaign.
From writer/director Ron Bonk, and produced by Ron Bonk (She Kills – reviewed HERE) and Jonathan Straiton (Night Of Something Strange):
“When Frank (Trey Harrison) finds his happy home under attack by a dangerous but largely unknown breed of shark, he enlists the aid of the world’s only “House Shark Expert”, Zachary (Michael Merchant), and a grizzled former real estate agent, Abraham (Wes Reid), to embark on a desperate quest to destroy the beast and claim back his life. It’s JAWS in a house!”
The soundtrack will be composed by Emmett Van Slyke and the Monster Mechanics and gore FX will be handled by Marcus Koch. Ron Bonk describes it as both a love letter to the late 70’s blockbusters from Steven Spielberg, but also a homage to the great monster/horror flicks of the 70’s and 80’s.
House Shark’s Indiegogo campaign is below and will be in production through August of this year. The premiere is planned for the end of summer 2017.
