Cathedrals will fall, the river will run red... and THE BIRD will be SLAUGHTERED!

REVIEW: Violent Shit: The Movie

“…Let the slaughter begin…”

From friend and Director Luigi Pastore and friends Steve Aquilina and Andreas Schnass who help with Producing and writing this instalment of 2015.

The legend is cemented from many years ago (1989) and this team have decided to both rekindle and re-route Karl the Butcher to a new country, a new style and a more polished production.

This one will have fans divided for sure. This one will make fans new and old alike revisit that early trilogy, some of which is retold here…

violent shit

To set the scene.

Hamburg 25 years ago.

Locked away. Scared.

A friend in the darkness.

A gift from the devil.

Masked strength as blood begins to flow.

And now “His legions are nested everywhere.”

Darkness comes…

As corpses are dismembered and rats feed.

The body count increases.

Police are on the case…

In true giallo style fitting of the setting…

Rome.

Linking Germany in the 1980’s…

“We always thought that one day he might be back.”

Razor slash. Deafening screams…

As the legend is told…

And Professor Vassago receives the Holy Grail…

Of death.

Clues. Red herrings. Killings…

Without mercy.

Beaten to the punch yet clues remain…

On blood soaked panties.

Dead bodies are a real gift yet there are plenty more surprises in store.

Intertwined bodies, naked snorting lines.

As fate cuts savage blows on unlawful trespassers…

And flesh is fully revealed.

Seductively. Savagely.

“Let the party begin.”

A real taste of life as the killer is unleashed…

Backbones crack, guts gouged inside out, hacked appendages…

Shaking death throes come to an end…

As power is sought and taken…

You are merely an “arm”…

Of the intellect behind it…

Wanting more.

At around the 80 minute runtime this one is heavy on history and setting the scene and lighter on gore…but when it comes it comes along very nicely.

Fans will be divided – they already know the story and want to see blood spraying as Karl hacks his way mercilessly through those that stand in his way. What they get is a benchmark to work off. Setting a new scene, a new pace, a new style…

Steve write to me “KTB will return”…

And I firmly believe he will. So for old fans they will get what they want and perhaps what they envisaged this rebirth would bring and for new fans they will learn the legend and witness…

No mercy.

Time will tell.

INTERVIEW: David Naughton
untitled It’s not every day you get to speak to the lead actor in possibly your favourite horror film of all time. Especially on a Tuesday. Tuesdays are usually rubbish! Back in 1981, An American Werewolf In London had unprepared cinema goers laughing heartily one second and jumping out of their seats in terror the next. Its tale of two young American tourists coming face-to-teeth with a legendary lycanthropic beast perfectly married a genuinely funny script with razor sharp editing, groundbreaking special effects and a flawless cast to create a monster movie that is still many people’s benchmark today Read on...
